Paige and I opened Bitterbrush Cycles on March 19, 2005. We moved to Colorado from Georgia in 1999 and settled in to the beautiful riding mecca of Crested Butte. We were mountain bikers before moving to Crested Butte, but we never have ridden on such blessed trails as in CB. We both worked for The Town of Crested Butte Parks and Rec. We rode almost everyday with someone that either worked with us or showed up after work. I started working on my bikes and some of my friends' bikes and really got all geeky with it.
We decided that the long winter in CB was too long and decided to move to Boulder in 2003. The Front Range of Colorado is a lot warmer than Crested Butte in the winter, so you can ride year round. We rode Hall Ranch when we first arrived in January. That was it..we're moving to Lyons as soon as we get a chance.
So, in 2005 we opened the shop.....moved to Lyons in Feb. 2006.
We love Lyons. It is great to have such good trails, friends and beer all in one place.
At Bitterbrush we want you to enjoy life, and that includes riding a bicycle.
